This poem is the second in a series of three poem.

A mood, a form, a colour, a theme

Consuming, burning – unburning you

You look at the flower

And that is red too

Why do they make red such a passionate colour if it’s everywhere?

Are we passionate everywhere-

As an enveloping whole;

As loving, forgiving and raging

Red is exciting

You fiddle, breathe, inhale, consume

Excited. Too excited;

As the flower begins to droop

Almost not red anymore

But you’re still in over your head

So why blame red?
